We decided to launch the Never-Ever-For-Sale art and conservation project by purchasing plots of rainforest, which we symbolically framed with four sculptures, in order to place the space between the so-called auroras under our protection forever.
To finance the project, we produced hand-gilded prints with motifs of the rainforest in an edition of 200 pieces per motif.
In February 2016, we succeeded in acquiring a 25-hectare piece of rainforest on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica and producing the four gold-leaf sculptures in the workshop of sculptor Mark Hübner on the Osa Peninsula. Unobtrusive and graceful, they now frame a hill with two streams and countless animals, birds and insects. An area that can never be altered by humans.
