When I first envisioned this project, I knew it would be a unique way to combine my passion for art, my cultural roots, and a touch of personal history. This vision became reality when I was commissioned to repaint a Mercedes Sprinter, transforming it into a rolling homage to the Bembel.
This is no longer just a van—it’s a tribute to where I come from and the traditions that shaped me.
The intricate gray-and-white patterns of the Bembel jug are iconic in my hometown of Oberursel and throughout Hessen. They’re more than just decoration—they represent tradition, community, and a love for Äppelwoi (applewine). Repainting the van in this style was my way of creating a moving canvas that carries a bit of Hessen wherever it goes.
